2017 Domaine Armand Rousseau Pere et Fils Ruchottes-Chambertin Clos des Ruchottes 750ml

Good dense colour. Young vines since 2003 have changed the quality here, positively, as a counterpoint to the ancient vines. Cyrielle points out that their Clos is on white oolite blanc which retains humidity well. Lovely density of pure red fruit beneath, almost an orange touch, remarkably fine yet again. Touch of liquorice at the back. Tasted: November 2018.
