2017 François Raveneau Chablis 1er Cru Butteaux 750 ml

VM95, BH92, JM(92-95)

 I queried the order of service because it might seem logical to put this wine alongside Montmains and Forêts, but instead it is placed here on grounds of a rising order of power. Averaging 50 years, while Forêts has less clay and younger vines. First up come chiselled marine notes. Much tighter than Montée de Tonnerre but with similar power, excellent aftertaste, with tingling saline inflections.
