I was delighted to taste this as the bottle at our Leroy Clos Vougeot vertical in 2017 had been out of condition. This example showed a hugely rich, dense nose with a bundle of spices, alongside the undeniable opulence of the Leroy style and the vintage. Luxurious from the very start but with a crisper note creeping in with aeration.
